Continuing professional development (or CPD) is the ongoing process for SAMDDRA designees to develop, maintain and document their professional skills, knowledge and experience gained over time.

SAMDDRA individual members need to earn and report 30 CPD credits each year. The SAMDDRA policy with information about CPD related matters is found here.

The benefit of participating in annual CPD is to ensure that Designees remain effective when fulfilling their roles and responsibilities in their area of expertise, but also that to maintain their competence as certified professionals.

SAMDDRA’s CPD policy determines how CPD points can be earned and which activities allow members to accumulate them.

Approved CPD programmes


SAMDDRA will organise many activities or recommend the participation of members in SAMDDRA partners activities which include trainings, workshops, seminars, conferences, exhibitions, trade show, research and development, community outreaches and many more…. These activities will be continuously announced and reminded to members for the accumulation minimum of CPD points as a requirement for membership renewals.

Though such activities SAMDDRA members will keep abreast with the latest development in the industry and be able to maintain the excellence and quality of services which are imperative for members and SAMDDRA’s success.
