Graduation Ceremony | Tuesday, the 7th of December 2021 from 09H00

Graduation Ceremony of the 61 new cell phone repair technicians from Tshwane, Gauteng. This training was fully paid by MICT SETA. The Minister of Higher Education, Training and Innovation, Dr Blade Nzimande, will be the key note speaker. This ceremony takes place at the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT), Soshanguve South Campus. Online Virtual access available on Zoom and on SAMDDRA YouTube page.

Inauguration of the first SAMDDRA | Friday, the 10th of December 2021 from 10H00

Inauguration of the first SAMDDRA inspired shop emanating from the MICT SETA cell phone repair training programme. The shop is situated in Akasia (Tshwane) within a community whereby 11 learners will use the shop as their base of work. Among other dignitaries, the CEO and the Chairman of MICT SETA will attend. The CEO of MICT SETA will share his views on the link between 4IR training and SMMEs creation, thus employment generation. The chairman of MICT SETA will cut the ribbon and bless the shop while adding a pinch of advice to the technicians for their work. The public is invited to support our new technicians. This is to also fulfill the view of Minister Dr Blade Nzimande: “let’s repair where we live”. Online Virtual access available on Zoom and on SAMDDRA YouTube page.

SAMDDRA Press Conference | Monday, the 13th of December 2021 from 10H00-12H00

SAMDDRA Press Conference on its vision and on suggested 67 (sixty seven) 4IR Professional Designations to the Mobile Computing Devices industry. These are extension of professional opportunities created through upcoming 4IR qualifications developed mainly by MICT SETA and a few from other SETAs. The MICT SETA’s CEO and 4IR team will accompany SAMDDRA in this Press Conference.
